Our buyers at Formaggio Kitchen take curating our olive oil selection seriously. We prioritize working directly with small-scale producers who are growing their own olives, often varieties that are native to their area, and who produce extra virgin olive oil. An olive oil being extra virgin is important to us for two main reasons: it means the olives were cold-pressed (a process that preserves the oil's natural flavor, aroma, and nutritional value) and it indicates a certain level of quality in that it was evaluated for any defects, etc.

Our Olive Oil Club is perfect for someone looking to discover and experience a variety of different high-quality olive oils each quarter of the year and learn something new along the way.

We’ve made it easy to gift the membership to any olive oil lover in your life. You can purchase an ongoing membership that can be cancelled at any time or pre-pay for a whole year of delights for them. You also can provide a gift message and/or their email address for us to contact them about the membership.

This quarter we’re featuring three bottles that have earned all-star status on the shelf. These are go-tos with regular customers and staff alike.

Riza Extra Virgin Olive Oil

This single-origin Greek olive oil is from our dear Demetrius at Riza, whose groves are located north of Athens in the Mesogeia plains. It is made from 100% Koroneiki olives. This Greek olive gives the oil a distinctively herby and fresh flavor profile.

Moulin Jean Marie Cornille Olive Oil

This unique, luscious, buttery, golden olive oil from Moulin Jean Marie Cornille in Provence, France has quite the following. Made with ripe black olives, this olive oil is nothing like the typical grassy or peppery green oils. It has a rich and robust flavor of ripe, fruity, black olives.

Alziari Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Nicolas Alziari is another olive oil producer based in Provence, France. Their extra virgin olive oil is beloved for its balanced flavor, varied uses, and gorgeous tin. It is made with a proprietary mix of Provencal olives, centered around the native Cailletier variety. The result is a fruity and fresh flavored oil.

FAQs

This club is billed and shipped quarterly. The membership is $150 per quarter. You can purchase a recurring membership where you will be billed quarterly or you can purchase a year's worth of shipments pre-paid, which will not be renewed.

Making changes to your subscription is easy. Just log on to your Formaggio Kitchen account and hit “Manage Subscriptions.” There you will find options to change your delivery address, skip a delivery, cancel your subscription, pause your subscription, and/or update your billing information.

We ship out the quarterly club packages the 2nd Wednesday of the first month of each quarter. While we can’t accommodate a custom ship date, you can skip a shipment by logging into your Formaggio Kitchen account.

While we can’t customize what comes in the quarterly selection, as a member you can add whatever products you’d like to take advantage of the free shipping that comes with your membership. Purchase additional items through the club portal and we’ll consolidate it all into one box to be shipped the first full week of the month.

Yes. If you don’t want all your items to be consolidated into one shipment you’ll need to place a separate order. Please note that in order to take advantage of your free shipping as a member all items must be consolidated into the monthly club shipment.

Yes, you can skip a package and/or change your shipping address by logging into your Formaggio Kitchen account.

Olive oil keeps for a long time. However, for optimal freshness, we recommend consuming it within 6 months of opening the bottle.

If you’re using our prepaid option you can apply a gift card to your purchase. However, unfortunately, we can’t take gift card payments for our monthly recurring memberships just yet.

Orders must be placed the Sunday before the 2nd full week of the first month of the quarter to be added to your shipment.

Yes! You can gift a reccuring subscription or pre-pay for a year.
