Cave Tours
Did you know Formaggio Kitchen was the first cheese shop in the country to build a cheese cave? Our original cheese cave at 244 Huron Ave in Cambridge was built in the early 90s and Julia Child was even there for the opening!
You and a small group of friends, family, or colleagues (up to six participants) can now book a private tour of the cave that comes with a guided cheese and wine tasting!
Pricing
Tour Led by an Expert Cheesemonger
Each tour comes with a communal composed cheese board featuring 5 cheeses and 5 garnishes/condiments as well as one wine pairing.
- $200 - 1-2 guests
- $300 - 3-4 guests
- $375 - 5 guests
- $450 - 6 guests
Optional Add-On:
- 1/2 bottle (375ml) of Sparkling Wine - $30
- Full bottle (750ml) of Sparkling Wine - $60
Tour Led by Formaggio Kitchen's owner, Julia
This limited, special tour is an opportunity to learn directly from our owner, Julia. The offering during the tasting portion of this tour is slightly more robust compared to our regular cave tour, with two different wine pairings being served.
Julia has been working for the company for over 16 years and during that time has developed her skills as an expert cheesemonger. Having visited many of the producers whose very wheels of cheese line the shelves in our cave, she has many stories to tell!
Please note this tour is only available on Tuesdays, Thursdays, or Saturdays.
