Formaggio Kitchen Confiture Club

Delight in a Range of Flavors from Around the World!

Formaggio Kitchen is perhaps best known for our robust cheese selection—we have anywhere from 200-300 different cheeses at a given time on the counter at our flagship store on Huron Ave in Cambridge! Naturally, our love for cheese steered us on a life-time journey to find the best accompaniments to go with it. Over the years we have cultivated a diverse selection of confitures—from small-batch, seasonally driven French jams to preserves with unique and experimental flavor combinations—and everything in between.

Whether you're a lover of confitures because of their natural connection to cheese or for their ability to transform a fresh pot of yogurt or a piece of crusty toast into a revelatory experience, our Confiture Club is a great way to get introduced to a new jam, jelly, preserve, or something of the like each quarter of the year.

2nd Quarter 2026 Selection

"Uncommon" Fruits

For this quarter, we’ve curated a selection of confitures that are made from “uncommon” fruits that you probably don’t commonly find in your cupboard.

Yakami Orchard Passion Fruit Marmalade

While this marmalade is traditional in South Korea, it isn’t something most Americans have in their cupboard. Passion fruit pulp and seeds are cooked down to create a clean, bright, and floral marmalade that is delicious paired with alpine or goat’s milk cheeses, spread on a buttered English muffin, or stirred into hot tea.

Located in the Miyazaki Prefecture of Japan, Yakami Orchards consists of a family of growers (some fourth generation) upholding the traditions of producing quality citrus products.

Mariangela Prunotto Chestnut Jam

Did you know that chestnuts are a fruit? This chestnut jam is a labor of love: It is made by slowly cooking down a high ratio of chestnuts (95 grams of fresh chestnuts are used to produce 100 grams of jam) with just cane sugar and a bit of vanilla. The result is a spreadable, creamy product that is excellent on a cheese board with nutty Italian pecorino cheese, as a filling for crepes, but also, of course, suitable for use as a base for countless chestnut-based recipes.

The Prunotto Mariangela Farm is located in Alba, in the heart of the Langhe region of Italy. This is an area renowned for its agriculture and winemaking. The farm practices organic farming methods and produces a wide range of products from their own fruits, vegetables, and legumes.

Confitures de Raphaël Kalamatsi Jam

This spread is created from the Kalamansi or Calamansi citrus which originates from the Philippines. Its complex flavor is a blend of tart, sweet, and bitter notes, landing somewhere between lime and mandarin. The resulting jam is punchy and vibrant, splendid with goat’s milk cheese, on toast, or in baked goods.

Raphaël Guillo Lohan discovered his passion for jams while working on an apple orchard in his native Brittany, France. A bumper crop of apples left enough surplus for a trial batch of apple jam, and Raphaël was hooked. Now he harvests organically-grown fruits from his own orchards, as well as a small selection of citrus fruits grown in the warmer regions of Europe. Each batch is made over an open fire in a big copper cauldron in his kitchen. A very short cooking time ensures the freshness and purity of fruit flavor that these jams are famous for. Each jar is lovingly adorned with a beautiful label drawn by Raphaël's aunt. Raphaël’s jams are exclusive to Formaggio Kitchen in the United States.
