Formaggio Kitchen Chocolate Club
Expand Your Palate (and Sweet Tooth) Each Month!
Our chocolate selection at Formaggio Kitchen is thoughtfully curated with an emphasis on working with bean-to-bar producers. Bean-to-bar producers make their chocolate from scratch, starting with the raw cacao beans and controlling the entire process, from sourcing to the final bar. We value this approach to chocolate making because it emphasizes quality, transparency, and a direct relationship with cacao farmers. The resulting chocolate bars are often made in small batches and offer unique flavor profiles that can be tied to a single origin of cacao.
Our Chocolate Club is perfect for the chocolate lover looking to expand their palate and discover new favorites.

November 2025 Selection
Producer Spotlight: SOMA Chocolatemaker
This month we're highlighting a variety of bars from Toronto, Canada-based bean-to-bar maker and chocolatier SOMA Chocolatemaker.
Old School Dark
This simple and pure bar showcases chocolate how it was made back in the day. It is made using only two ingredients ground together in SOMA's vintage melangeur—no further processing, refining, or conching. Partially ground Madagascar cocoa nibs and whole crystals of organic cane sugar provide an entirely unique crumbly almost cookie-like texture.
Semuliki Forest, Uganda 70%
The cacao beans used to make this chocolate is grown by 500 smallholder farmers in the lush growing region of Bundibugyo in Uganda. Each farm is 1-2 hectares, either owned as family land or leased from other farmers. This 70% cacao dark chocolate has notes of raisins, figs, chocolate cake, walnuts, and vanilla.
Dark Chocolate with Seville Orange Peel
This dark chocolate bar is flavored with candied Seville orange peels made from oranges sourced from Spain. Also called bitter or sour oranges, they are prized for their intense, tart orange flavor. The peels are laid by hand onto a base of high-quality dark chocolate.
