Formaggio Kitchen Olive Oil Club
Discover a Variety of High-Quality Olive Oils!
Our buyers at Formaggio Kitchen take curating our olive oil selection seriously. We prioritize working directly with small-scale producers who are growing their own olives, often varieties that are native to their area, and who produce extra virgin olive oil. An olive oil being extra virgin is important to us for two main reasons: it means the olives were cold-pressed (a process that preserves the oil's natural flavor, aroma, and nutritional value) and it indicates a certain level of quality in that it was evaluated for any defects, etc.
Our Olive Oil Club is perfect for someone looking to discover and experience a variety of different high-quality olive oils each quarter of the year and learn something new along the way.

4th Quarter 2025 Selection
La Bandiera Tuscan Extra Virgin Olive Oil
La Bandiera is one of the oldest, privately-owned estates on the Tuscan coast. They produce premium, IGP, organic, single-estate extra virgin olive oil. The olives are harvested from the moraiolo, leccino, and frantoio trees when they are just beginning to ripen in October in order to capture and preserve the characteristics so typical of olive oil from the region of Bolgheri– full-bodied with fruity and spicy aromas. The ratio of the blend of the three varieties of olives is unique to La Bandiera and crafted to make sure that the oil is perfectly balanced.
Spedalotto Tonda Iblea Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Crafted by Vincenzo Paternò on the estate of Marchesi Achille Paterno’ di Spedalotto in the Monti Iblei region of Sicily, this extra virgin olive oil is made from Tonda Iblea olives harvested by hand from around 7,500 organically farmed olive trees. Being a southern Italian oil made from only the Tonda Iblea variety, its flavor is intense, yet harmonious. It has aromas of green tomatoes and herbs and a rich, buttery texture.
Olio Roi Carte Noire Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Rossella and Franco Boeri of Olio Roi produce their oils in the Argentina valley of Liguria, famous for its olive groves and delicate olive oil. Their expertise in olive oil making, the mild climate, and the terraced land results in some amazing oils. Their Carte Noire extra virgin olive oil, a limited run, is a low-acidity oil obtained from a selection of the best Taggiasca olives. On the nose it is fresh, with hints of grass and artichoke and fruity green apple and olive. In the mouth, however, the aftertaste reveals light notes of dried fruit. Its delicate nature makes it perfect for seasoning raw food.
