Formaggio Kitchen Confiture Club

Delight in a Range of Flavors from Around the World!

Formaggio Kitchen is perhaps best known for our robust cheese selection—we have anywhere from 200-300 different cheeses at a given time on the counter at our flagship store on Huron Ave in Cambridge! Naturally, our love for cheese steered us on a life-time journey to find the best accompaniments to go with it. Over the years we have cultivated a diverse selection of confitures—from small-batch, seasonally driven French jams to preserves with unique and experimental flavor combinations—and everything in between.

Whether you're a lover of confitures because of their natural connection to cheese or for their ability to transform a fresh pot of yogurt or a piece of crusty toast into a revelatory experience, our Confiture Club is a great way to get introduced to a new jam, jelly, preserve, or something of the like each quarter of the year.

4th Quarter 2025 Selection

Citrus Rose Spoon Sweet

Spoon sweets are traditional preserves typically made of whole fruit in syrup. This one is made using only pink roses (the magiatiko variety) from the village of Ayios Yorgios Sikousis, Chios, that must be collected during their very short harvest, typically in May. Try this floral preserve in baking projects, with yogurt, or on pistachio ice cream.

Citrus Chios is a Greek, family-owned company established in 2008 that produces traditional marmalades, jams, and other unique delicacies utilizing ingredients from the historic island of Chios in the North-Eastern Aegean.

La Baita and Galleano Chinotto Marmalade

This marmalade is made from the Italian citrus fruit Chinotto, a fruit from the myrtle-leaved orange tree. It has a distinctive bitter taste that is used to flavor soft drinks, amaros, and aperitifs. When cooked into a marmalade the bitter flavor is tamed and the result is a balanced condiment that is lovely paired with strong cheeses.

Located in Borghetto d'Arroscia, a quaint Italian commune in the Province of Liguria, La Baita and Galleano produces extra virgin olive oil and preserves from the bounty of the area. The fruits and vegetables are all farmed naturally without the use of any chemicals.

Strega Di Triora Fig, Candied Lemon, and Pine Nut Conserve

This unique conserve is made from golden figs, candied lemon peel, and pine nuts. It has a smooth, almost pour-able consistency, as no pectin is added to the recipe. We particularly love it on a cheese plate with Italian sheep’s milk cheeses (pecorino).

La Strega di Triora, run by two sisters (who are witches) and one of their husbands, has been producing seasonal preserves in Italy's mountainous region of Triora since 1986. Each batch is still made by hand and cooked in copper pots which helps the fruits to maintain their rich colors and flavors.

England Preserves Gooseberry and Elderflower

This unique preserve is made from gooseberries and elderflower. The sourness of the gooseberries is balanced by the fragrant sweetness of elderflower. We particularly love that it is made from mostly fruit and not much sugar. Try it with a fresh goat cheese or yogurt.

Kai and Sky, the founders of England Preserves, have been making high-quality, low-sugar preserves since 2001. They focus on working with British farmers to source their fruit and other ingredients.
