Our chocolate selection at Formaggio Kitchen is thoughtfully curated with an emphasis on working with bean-to-bar producers. Bean-to-bar producers make their chocolate from scratch, starting with the raw cacao beans and controlling the entire process, from sourcing to the final bar. We value this approach to chocolate making because it emphasizes quality, transparency, and a direct relationship with cacao farmers. The resulting chocolate bars are often made in small batches and offer unique flavor profiles that can be tied to a single origin of cacao.

Allo Simonne Dark Chocolate Hazelnut Spread
Allo Simonne is a small company located in Montreal run by the couple Quentin and Vincent. Quentin is the producer and his partner Vincent handles the sales portion. They do everything by hand: the nuts are roasted in-house to their own specifications and they painstaking de-shell them and grind them to make luscious nut butters. After that, they blend in chocolate and other additions (buckwheat, for one!).
When we first received samples of their signature chocolate hazelnut spread, we were all blown away. No palm oil is used and the product is mostly nuts (they list the % of nuts on the front of the label). You will see some separation because of the natural process, but a good stir blends it nicely. The result is the most pure and unadulterated version of a hazelnut-chocolate spread that you've ever had. Simply sublime!
ÉSOPHY Salted Caramelized Pistachios in 60% Dark Chocolate Bar
ÉSOPHY was founded by Sophia Dendrinou and Evdokia Liakou in 2017 in Kifissia, Attica, Greece. They make their chocolate and other treats by hand at their shop there. We love their creativity when it comes to flavoring their chocolate.
The Greek island of Aegina is known for growing the best pistachios in the world. The ideal climate of the island and the unique soil composition lend exceptional flavor and aroma to the Aegina pistachio. ÉSOPHY choses the best seasonal pistachios to create this beautiful, aromatic chocolate bar. The combination of 60% dark chocolate, with its smooth texture and well-balanced sweetness, together with the crunchiness of pistachios, make a perfect duet.
ONOMEA Salted Macademia Nut Bar
Lonohana Chocolate Factory is based in Honolulu, Hawaii and uses only 100% Hawaii-grown cacao to make their chocolate bars. The Onomea line of bars is their newest creation. Consider them the “adventurous, free spirited” little sister of the more “serious and reserved” Lonohana. The quality, however, reminds the same.
This dark chocolate bar has Hawaii-grown macadamia nuts and Hawaiian sea salt blended into it for a delightfully salty/sweet flavor profile.
Donna Elvira PGI Modica Almond Chocolate Bar
Donna Elvira is a Sicilian chocolatier known for her bean-to-bar chocolates, crafted with centuries of history and pure ingredients.
PGI Modica Chocolate (Cioccolato di Modica) is a unique Sicilian artisan chocolate with a Protected Geographical Indication (PGI) status, known for its distinct grainy, crumbly texture and intense flavor, achieved through an ancient cold-processing method (stone-grinding) that doesn't use conching, preserving the cocoa's natural aromas.
This 50% cacao dark chocolate bar is made with toasted almonds, giving it an added richness.

The membership is $75 per month. You can purchase a recurring membership where you will be billed monthly or pre-pay for 3, 6, or 12 months.
Making changes to your subscription is easy. Just log on to your Formaggio Kitchen account and hit “Manage Subscriptions.” There you will find options to change your delivery address, skip a month, cancel your subscription, and/or update your billing information.
We ship out the monthly club packages the 2nd Wednesday of each month. While we can’t accommodate a custom ship date, you can skip a month by logging into your Formaggio Kitchen account.
Our monthly club packages ship the 2nd Wednesday of each month. If you purchase mid-month your first shipment will be shipped the following month.
Your shipment will arrive the 2nd full week of each month.
While we can’t customize what comes in the monthly selection, as a member you can add whatever products you’d like to take advantage of the free shipping that comes with your membership. Purchase additional items through the club portal and we’ll consolidate it all into one box to be shipped the first full week of the month.
Yes. If you don’t want all your items to be consolidated into one shipment you’ll need to place a separate order. Please note that in order to take advantage of your free shipping as a member all items must be consolidated into the monthly club shipment.

Yes, you can skip a month and/or change your shipping address by logging into your Formaggio Kitchen account.
Chocolate has a long shelf life. However, to experience optimal freshness and peak quality, we recommend consuming it within 6 months of opening.
If you’re using our prepaid option you can apply a gift card to your purchase. However, unfortunately, we can’t take gift card payments for our monthly recurring memberships just yet.
Orders must be placed the Sunday before the second full week of the month in order to be added to your monthly shipment.
Yes! You can gift a recurring subscription or pre-pay for 3, 6, or 12 months.
