Description
These French candies are flavored with bergamot, a small yellow citrus fruit that has been used for centuries in perfumery and confectionery, most notably in Earl Grey tea. Known for its unique essential oil, this fruit was first introduced to France by King Stanislas, and has since become a beloved staple of French culture.
To create these exquisite treats, sugar is carefully heated over an open flame. After cooking, the essence of bergamot is incorporated, and the mixture is gently poured onto a luxurious marble table to cool before being hand-cut. The tin's lid shows Place Stanislas, a symbol of the fruit's royal origins.
INGREDIENTS: Sugar, glucose, natural essence of bergamot.
