Pasticceria Perbellini has been baking the most amazing panettone in Bovolone, Italy since the 19th century! We found them on a trip to Italy in 2001 and were the first company to import their products into the United States. This panettone is made with all natural ingredients and no preservatives. They use ancient recipes to create a rich and eggy bread studded with hand-selected sultanas, candied citron, and hints of rum and vanilla.
Serve after dinner with soft torrone (Italian-style nougat), roasted nuts, dried fruits, and sweet dessert wine. Or for a memorable holiday breakfast, enjoy this panettone gently toasted and smeared with mascarpone or salted butter.
INGREDIENTS: Type "0" common wheat flour, sugar, butter milk, eggs, raisins, orange and citron cubes, natural yeast, emulsifiers (mono-diglycerides of fatty acids), salt and flavorings. May contain traces of dry and sugar fruit, soy, sesame seeds, peanuts and mustard.
