Perbellini Panettone Albiocca
Pasticceria Perbellini has been baking the most amazing sweet breads and cakes in Bovolone, Italy since the 19th century! They use only all natural ingredients and no preservatives.
In addition to making our favorite Panettone, the Perbellini family produces a few other delicacies such as this airy apricot cake. The light sponge encloses small, tasty apricot confit drops, while the top is covered by a soft almond glaze and toasted slivered almonds. It is packaged in a delightful box with a beautiful hand drawn print of apricots, making it an ideal gift.
Serve after dinner with soft torrone (nougat), roasted nuts, dried fruits, and sweet dessert wine. Or for a memorable holiday breakfast, enjoy gently toasted and smeared with mascarpone or salted butter.
