Colomba is Easter's counterpart to panettone around Christmas. In Italy, it is a welcome sign of spring. Colomba means 'dove' in Italian and it is where this sweet, yeasted bread takes its shape from. It is rich and fluffy and made from a simple list of high-quality ingredients.

We get our colomba from Pasticceria Perbellini. They have been baking the most amazing sweet breads and cakes in Bovolone, Italy since the 19th century. We first discovered them on a trip to Italy in 2001 and were the first company to bring them into the United States. They use only all-natural ingredients and no preservatives. Currently, the pastry shop is led by Ernesto Perbellini's sons: Giovanni Battista and Flavio.

Colomba is delicious on its own for breakfast with coffee or after dinner with a dessert wine. You can also try it slathered in a sweet spread like hazelnut chocolate spread or pistachio butter. It's also delicious with fresh berries and whipped cream.
