Description
This field blend is made up of three Tuscan varietals of olives: Frantoio, Leccino, and Pendolino. It has a medium intensity with notes of green fruit, green apple, artichoke, eucalyptus, and green banana. The olives used for this oil are harvested from Petaluma – Sonoma County, California.
We think Olive Truck is one of the most exciting food projects in recent years: The company has built a mobile olive mill, equipped with world-class Mori-Tem extraction machinery imported from Tuscany, that is capable of pressing up to 500kg of olives per hour. They travel throughout California, driving their mobile mill directly into olive orchards and cold-pressing the olives within moments of harvest. This allows them to capture the true essence of California’s finest olive varieties—bottling extra virgin olive oil at its absolute peak of freshness, flavor, and polyphenol richness.
