This isn't your average Spanish ham. Jamón Ibérico de Bellota from producer Montaraz in Spain is a luxurious experience and something to be savored. This stunning jamón is made from a free-range 100% Ibérico pigs. This amazing pig species nearly doubles its weight during the "Montanera" season (which happens from October through February) when it is feasting exclusively on acorns and grass. This special diet gives the cured ham a decadently buttery and nutty flavor as well as the beautifully marbled fat throughout which melts upon contact with your mouth. This ham is truly an out-of-this-world gastronomic experience. At our shops, our expert cheesemongers de-bone the legs by hand and then slice the meat to order. We slice the ham thin unless otherwise requested. 

Montaraz has perfected the art of curing fine Spanish ham over the last 125 years. They use only 100% pure-breed, acorn-fed Ibérico pigs that spend their lives wandering the beautiful dehesa. The hams are cured for over three years, creating an intense flavor and exceptional richness.
