The cacao for this bar comes from Öko Caribe, an award-winning organic cacao cooperative located in the Dominican Republic. The 75% dark chocolate has notes of Demerara sugar, orange zest, and blonde roast coffee.
Godsend is a small bean-to-bar chocolate maker based in Friendship, Maine. Each bar they craft uses beans from a single origin and expresses the unique flavors of the harvest, influenced by the location and climate where the beans were grown and how they were fermented and dried. Their chocolate is carefully roasted, refined, and molded by hand. Then, each bar is wrapped in traditional Japanese mulberry paper that they also produce in their studio.
