The perfect foundation for your next spread!

Measuring around 7"x18", these large cheeseboards handmade by Amy Biddle of FlotsamMade bring some of nature's beauty to your kitchen with their stunning grain and live edges. Each piece is different from the next, as all Flotsam products utilize salvaged wood to create new, unique pieces.

"Flotsam was born from a desire to create something out of furniture found on the streets, destined for the landfill. From spoons and cutting boards to side tables and bookshelves, the wood I use in all my projects is "sourced" from the sidewalk, construction/demolition leftovers, woodworking shop scraps, and friendly neighbors. Handling scrap wood brings a host of new problems to solve, which adds a fun, creative energy to the artistic process of woodworking.

CARE: When the wood appears dry, that means it's time to recondition it with a waterproofing finish. With heavy use, you might find the wood needs reconditioning in 3-6 months. With light use, it might take years. The best way to determine if you need to recondition the wood is to run water over the surface - if the water beads and disperses, the finish is still doing its job. If the water begins to soak in, it's time to recondition the wood."
