Formaggio Kitchen has been an institution in Cambridge, Massachusetts for over 30 years €“ a gourmand’s paradise doubling as a neighborhood grocer. Nationally, we are best known for our cheese selection, which includes many exclusive items imported directly from farms in Europe. Locally, we are equally well known for our kitchen and bakery production including sandwiches, panini and nightly dinners as well as cakes, cookies and a variety of other sweets – all made in house, from scratch and using the best (often local) ingredients. We also stock a wide range of other delicious foodstuffs, including: charcuterie, produce, baked goods, prepared foods, coffee, tea, chocolates, bread, sweets, honey, preserves, wine, beer, olive oil, vinegar and other pantry staples.

Full-time Charcuterie Chef

We are currently seeking an experienced Charcutiere to join our team. This individual will join a professional team committed to excellence and consistency within a fast-paced retail setting. The ideal candidate will also possess strong communication and organizational skills, in addition to an exemplary work ethic. The ability to work efficiently within space, time, and equipment constraints is key to success in this role. The selected candidate will take over our award-winning charcuterie department with its existing recipes and repertoire, and will have the opportunity to bring new recipes and their personal touch to the work. Charcuterie Assistant

Julie is our in-house charcutiere, producing pates, terrines, bacon and pancetta among other creative cured meat creations. Julie is looking for a reliable assistant to help on a part-time basis with the prep work that goes into her production. Hours will be 10am – 4pm Monday – Thursday. Qualified candidates will have good knife skills, strong work ethic and clean and organized working habits.

Bakery Assistant

Our head baker Alice has been with us for over 25 years and has been recognized for her work in various local papers and online publications (her French macarons are a particular favorite!). Alice is looking for a skilled assistant to work with her on a part-time or full-time basis. Qualified candidates will have at least one year professional baking experience whether in a restaurant, retail or catering environment.

This work requires someone who is passionate about food (baking!), takes direction well, is meticulous and is very well organized.
