Greek Olive Oil

Olive oil has always been closely tied to Greek culture from ancient mythology where the goddess Athena caused the olive tree to spring up so that she could win the favor of the inhabitants of Acropolis, to today where Greece is actually the largest exporter of Extra Virgin Olive Oil (not counting countries whose exports are primarily lower quality olive oils). These oils are made from Koroneiki, Athinolia, Aspolia, Manaki and the renowned Kalamatas (Calamon) olives.
