Garrotxa

We meet so many people along our travels, but we will never forget the warmth and hospitality of the Cever family. They make a beautiful hearty goat's milk cheese in the tiny village of Albio using only the milk from their small herd of goats.


After showing us their facilities, cheese ripening room, giving us tastes and taking the time to talk with us we were ready to leave only to find out in their tasting room they set up a long table filled with food. Cheese, of course, tomatoes, olives, bread, wine, almonds, honey. It was so simple and so satisfying we often think back on that lunch.
