Produced by the artisan mustard company Schwerter Senfmuehl, located just east of Duesseldorf in West Germany. Mustard miller Frank Peisert crafts all of his mustard using ancient 400kg stone mills that use less heat when grinding the mustard seeds. Production methods are traditional from cold grinding to soaking and resting - a process that takes at least five weeks per batch. Along the way, Frank takes customer's ideas for new recipes and tries them out. If they work really well, he adds them to his collection. This curry mustard hits all of the right flavors for the perfect balance between warm mustard heat and deep curry flavor. We love this smeared on chicken legs as they bake. The texture is smooth but with some flecks of mustard seed throughout.

Schwerter Senfmühle

Operating since 1845, this is one of the oldest operating traditional mustard mills in Germany. Owned and operated by Mr. Frank Peisert, the company has developed a devout following for their line of mustards.

Mr. Peisert works with the finest mustard seed available and through a double-milling process creates smooth yet subtly grainy mustards in a variety of flavors.
