Epices de Cru Jerk Spice Blend - 25g
Ethné and Philippe de Vienne, also known as "The Spice Trekkers" are dedicated to procuring some of the world’s best spices and blends, travelling far and wide to meet and learn from producers, locals, and chefs, and to establish sustainable partnerships and bring their delicious spices to market. A blend native to Jamaica, the word ‘jerk’ refers both to the spices in the blend and to the techniques of cooking the meat. Traditionally, the pork is marinated with these spices for several hours prior to long, slow, smoky cooking. However, today, jerk spices are commonly used on ribs, chicken and pork for slow cooking on the barbecue. This versatile blend works with both applications, adding a spicy kick to any meal.

Flavor with heat
Combination of spices was a timesaver and delicious. Ground them medium fine and coated a batch of chicken wings with the powder overnight. The flavors stood out even after grilling on wood charcoal and some rumbullion sauce. The heat came through at the end and was a nice finish. I would definitely use again.
