Contadini Small Artichokes in Olive Oil
This jar contains carefully selected young artichokes grown in Brindisi (central Puglia), so the specific variety of artichoke is called “Brindisino”. The term “Candini” refers to the fact that these artichokes are picked in May at the end of the season when they are at their most tender. These little artichokes are hand-trimmed, gently steamed, and neatly submerged in a bath of olive oil, cider vinegar, sea salt, and lemon juice.
