Chabert and Guillot Calissons - 225g
Made in the town of Montelimar in the Provence region of France by the Chabert and Guillot company. These calisson are made using a finely ground mixture of almonds, the golden melon de Provence and candied orange peel, set on a potato starch wafer and topped with a layer of royal icing. This candy has a nice crunch on top and a rich, soft base with a slight chew - flavors are mainly almond but the melon and candied orange add a touch of complexity and sweetness.
