Okazu is a side dish or condiment traditionally eaten as an accompaniment to rice in Japan. This spicy and savory okazu from Abokichi draws inspiration from Japanese taberu rayu – a.k.a. chili oil – while incorporating miso for a vegetarian source of umami.
