Abokichi, a company out of Toronto, Canada, has been making their Okazu miso sesame oil condiment since 2013. They originally were known for selling their famous onigiri (Japanese rice balls) at farmer markets throughout Toronto. Wanting to spice up the onigiri, they began to research chili oils from Japan but found that most of them contained preservatives, MSG, and stabilizers. Instead, they perfected their own all-natural condiments with a little kick and a lot of umami.
