Thailand

In 2003 we were invited to Bangkok Thailand to participate in a Gourmet Food week at the Four Seasons Hotel. The first night was the Gala event for the Royal Family.

We were a little nervous setting up our table since cheese is not part of the typical Thai diet. However, we were overwhelmed at the reception we got they loved everything, we had to run back to the kitchen and open another wheel of gorgonzola--it was incredibly popular.

We did not come home with any products available for import but we left with a true love and respect for the Thai people and their cuisine. If you love street food then Bangkok is the city for you. Bustling and brimming with so much food around the clock. You don't know where to begin and you won't want to stop.

The fruits that we saw were also mindblowing in the variety of color, texture, smell and taste!

While in Thailand we were able to take some time to enjoy many other beautiful aspects of the culture including the amazing Royal Palace and a tour on top of a very patient elephant!
