We were introduced to this fantastic "Doce de Laranja" marmalade during our visit to Portugal in 2010. We tasted through a wide variety of jams from Quinta do Freixo and this was the first we chose for import to the US (along with the red tomato jam and the pumpkin jam).
This marmalade has a bright bitter orange flavor without a smoother texture than English marmalades. While we love a thick cut marmalade, this finely cut version appealed to us as well.
It works equally well blended into our favorite plain yogurt or spread on one of Alice's plain scones.
