This is an unsmoked tea comes from the Yunnan province of China. The lengthy acronym following the name is an indication of certain characteristics of the leaves used to create the tea. Tippy Golden Flowery Orange Pekoe (TGFOP) means that the tea consists of tender, young leaves rolled with a large proportion of “golden tips” (the very ends of the bud’s leaves).
This fine tea yields a vigorous liquor without bitterness and with a round flavor that lingers on the palate.
