The Earl Grey blend is named after the 2nd Earl Grey, who reputedly received a gift, of tea flavored with bergamot oil from a Chinese bureaucrat.
This Earl Grey is made using unsmoked Chinese teas harvested in the Southern provinces. Its enchanting aroma comes from the Calabrian Bergamot oil used to create a classic Earl Grey. We find that this tea is best enjoyed in the late afternoon or early evening. The sachets are kept in a deep blue tin that will look beautiful in your pantry. Recommended steeping time is 4 - 5 minutes.
