A lot of recipe testing went into developing our in-house biscotti. Many American biscotti recipes incorporate a lot of butter, making a flavorful cookie but one that departs from tradition. Butter tenderizes biscotti making them more like shortbread, lacking the crunch of traditional Italian biscotti which don’t use butter. When we were recipe-testing, we figured that if you wanted that tenderness, why not just get shortbread? We wanted to feel like we were in Italy when we ate our biscotti. After several experiments, our longstanding head baker was satisfied.
We are pleased to offer you a combination of our plain and chocolate biscotti. Both are ideal accompaniments to a cup of joe or, perhaps more appropriately, an espresso. We also like to use these biscotti on our chocolate fondue platter!
Each order includes four plain biscotti and four chocolate biscotti.
