Chocolate Dipped Madeleines - 8 pieces
We dip madeleines in the bakery at least twice a week. Sometimes we do it more often as these are one of our most popular offerings in the cookie case. Folks come in and buy them in bulk for parties, others purchase a few at a time to treat themselves at the end of the work day and children come in with their parents and are allowed one madeleine as an after school treat.
Madeleines are a traditional French confection – more like little cakes than cookies, they are buttery, tender with a hint of sweetness. The dark chocolate dipped madeleines are a delicious accompaniment to a glass of cold milk. The white chocolate dipped ones, with their hints of sweet cream, pair wonderfully with coffee. Either way, it’s hard to go wrong.
Each order contains 8 madeleines - 4 dipped in dark chocolate and 4 dipped in white chocolate.
