Ginger (ground)
From the root of the ginger plant, this is a staple of both the Asian and Indian kitchen. Its a member of the same plant family (Zingiberaceae) as turmeric, cardamom, and galangal.
Used primarily for sweet cooking in western cuisines, ginger is also an important ingredient in many savory dishes across India and Asia. It has also been found effective for treating nausea. Try a little in your tea with honey.
