Wine Tastings July 2014
Our wine tastings are free and open to the public. A few select bottles will be tasted with the importer we buy from. Most of our wines are from smaller producers who use sustainable, organic and biodynamic methods of production to create beautiful wines with character and a true taste of place.

We regularly welcome artisan producers to our store to sample out their delicious goodies - from cheese, to ice cream, to beer, to wine, to tea - and more! We also periodically host cookbook signings. And, Patti of On the Edge Knife Sharpening joins us generally once per month to tune-up folks' knives. A schedule of these events is below, and reservations are not necessary.

Formaggio Kitchen's Take Home Wine Class

We are pleased to introduce our new monthly wine education experience! Our take home wine class is a great way to savor delicious, seasonally appropriate wines and learn more about them at the same time.

Independence Day Holiday Hours

On Friday, July 4, we will be open 9am - 1pm. We are open our regular hours on both Thursday, July 3 and Saturday, July 5 (9am - 6pm).

Our sidewalk BBQ will be held as usual on Saturday.

We invite you in to our stores to pick up all of your special food needs to make it a wonderful Independence Day!


Our Weekly Dinner Menu

Our kitchen prepares take-out meals Monday through Friday available after 2:00pm. Accompaniments will vary on seasonal availability of ingredients.  We also offer a variety of cold salads and two fresh soups daily.  Please check our bakery for treats from Chef Alice.

We also offer a variety of cheese and antipasti platters, sandwiches and made to order meals in our catering department.


Classes and Events

One of our popular cheese tasting classesOur popular cheese, wine, beer, and cooking classes offer an opportunity to learn from our expert staff while experiencing our best products and recipes. We also frequently welcome our friends from the food and beverage community for cooking demonstrations and classes.

Formaggio Kitchen Barbecue

Each year as the weather warms up, we roll out our massive Weber grill to finish house smoked meats and a variety of sides to satisfy a long line of die hard fans. Our 2014 season kicked off on Saturday, March 29th at 11am and will continue into October - the final date is still to be determined.

This year, we will have several themed BBQs. Four dates have been confirmed so far but rumor has it that more may be in the works! In addition to our usual 'Q favorites, look for specials based around respective themes on these weekends:

Our Catering Menu

Our kitchen prepares all food to order using the finest and freshest ingredients available - meats are sourced from small family farms with humanely raised animals and our vegetables are local whenever possible. Our stocks and sauces are handmade from scratch, and all of our catering offerings are individually prepared without shortcuts or substitutions. We’re happy to accommodate requests for almost anything—roasts, stews, soups….just call us for a consultation!
