Citrus Season

Our shop includes a room dedicated to produce. Enter Formaggio Kitchen's produce section and you will be greeted with bountiful displays of the day's fruit and vegetable selections. Each piece of ripe fruit and every vegetable has been personally selected by our staff either directly on the farm or that very morning at the New England Produce Market. We have nurtured long-lasting relationships with the area's finest growers who bring us fresh produce everyday during the spring, summer and fall. Behind the scenes we are constantly on the phone with foragers overseas sourcing the finest specialty ingredients such as fresh truffles, white asparagus and Provençal berries. Whether scouting a tomato crop in Belmont or scouring the famed Marché Rungis in Paris, we are consistent in our mission: to bring the finest, freshest and most sustainable produce to our customers and friends at Formaggio Kitchen.

This season...

Winter time produce at Formaggio Kitchen means citrus. While the days are still short, the produce team looks to clementines, tangerines, and satsuma to brighten their days. We keep in stock all of Cambridge's favorite oranges, including; navel, blood and Cara Cara, also known as ‘the Power Orange.' Just want something to snack on? Don't forget the Kumquat, the quiet prince of the citrus world.
